Privacy Policy

• Quiz answers, whether or not you have an account: level or rating, age range, height and weight ranges, strength, current racquet, playing style and swing, shot preferences, priorities, preferred brands, favorite player, and any arm, shoulder, wrist or back concern you choose to share. For injuries we only store the area (for example "elbow"), and only to shape your recommendations.
• Account details, if you create an account: your name, email address and password. We store only a secure hash of your password. Nobody at Laxman Vending LLC can see it.
• Your results: the racquets recommended to you and the explanations.
• Reviews you post: your rating, what you wrote and, for a racquet review, the racquet and how long you've played it. Reviews are public once approved and show your first name and last initial, never your email.
• Email choices: whether you asked for new-article emails, and when you agreed, confirmed or unsubscribed.
• Clicks on retailer links from your results, so we can see which recommendations are useful.
• Technical data: our servers log IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept for 14 days.
• Your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in, and your light or dark theme setting. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

• To generate and save your recommendations, and to improve them.
• To run your account, including emailing you one-time codes when you verify your email, reset your password or sign in with a code.
• If you ask for them, to email you when we publish a new article. We only start after you confirm your address with the link we send, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• To check reviews for spam, abuse and personal details before they appear.
• To keep the site secure, for example with rate limits and abuse prevention.

• Amazon Web Services hosts the site, stores backups and sends our emails (Amazon SES), in the United States.
• OpenAI: to generate recommendations, your quiz answers are sent to OpenAI's API. Your name and email are never sent. Under OpenAI's API terms, this data isn't used to train their models and is kept for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
• We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

We don't receive your purchase details beyond what we need to be paid a commission. See our affiliate disclosure.

• Account data, including your reviews, is kept until you delete it or your account, or ask us to.
• Quiz answers and results not tied to an account are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Server logs are kept for 14 days.

• You can take the quiz without an account.
• New-article emails are optional. Turn them off on your account page or with the unsubscribe link in any of them. Emails about your account, like sign-in codes, still go out.
• You can edit or delete your reviews on your account page.
• To see, correct or delete your data, email hello@findmyracquet.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

• Players under 15 don't need an account to take the quiz, and the quiz doesn't ask for a name or email.
• A junior player's results can only be saved to a parent or guardian's account. We ask the account holder to confirm they're the player's parent or guardian and 18 or older.
• Accounts are for people 13 and older. If we learn we've collected personal information from a child under 13, we delete it.

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
